Mentors in Medicine & Science Program - Meet Your Mentor Reception
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Pairs Undergrads with Graduate Students in New Mentor Program
- Glendale Campus

Undergraduate college students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare now have a resource for navigating the path toward a graduate education in the health sciences, thanks to a program established by ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ in Glendale.
The Mentors in Medicine & Science (MIMS) mentorship program pairs undergraduate students from Maricopa County with ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students from all eight University colleges, representing over 20 different healthcare career tracks. The MIMS program provides monthly communication between MWU mentors and their undergraduate partners about potential careers, how to navigate their professional journey, creating good study habits, and navigating the process of applying to graduate and professional schooling and training. An additional on-campus MIMS event in the spring will offer hands-on lab experiences for mentors and mentees.
The MIMS program begins with a kick-off reception at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ's Glendale Campus on October 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There is an optional campus tour provided by the Office of Admissions from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Attendance at this event is required in order for students to be paired with mentors.
Registration for MIMS is due by September 15. For more information about MIMS, visit the MIMS webpage, e-mail azevents@midwestern.edu, or call 623-572-3353.
