Janson “Ted” Vogt Appointed to ɫƵ Board of Trustees

New Trustee has strong history of service in state government, private sector, military

ɫƵ is pleased to announce the appointment of Janson “Ted” Vogt, J.D., to its Board of Trustees.

Mr. Vogt brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning state government, public policy, military service, and the private sector. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to organizational excellence, regulatory innovation, and service to communities across Arizona.

“Ted Vogt brings a distinguished record of strategic leadership and organizational excellence to the ɫƵ Board of Trustees,” says Joshua C. Baker, O.D., M.S., President and Chief Executive Officer of ɫƵ. “His extensive experience in regulatory affairs and operational modernization will provide valuable insight as we continue advancing our mission of educating tomorrow’s healthcare team. We are honored to welcome him to the Board.”

Currently serving as Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Traversant Group in Phoenix, Mr. Vogt advises clients on navigating Arizona’s policy and regulatory landscape and develops strategic advocacy initiatives. His previous roles include Director of the Arizona Department of Gaming, Executive Director of the Arizona Corporation Commission, Chief of Operations for the Office of Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, and Director of the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services. He also served as a State Representative in the Arizona House of Representatives.

In his public service roles, Mr. Vogt led large-scale agencies, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and advanced initiatives focused on operational modernization, regulatory transparency, and stakeholder engagement. His leadership experience includes oversight of complex regulatory systems, implementation of statewide efficiency initiatives, and collaboration with tribal, state, and federal partners.

A military intelligence veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Vogt earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1995.

The ɫƵ Board of Trustees provides governance and strategic oversight for the University’s two campuses in Glendale, Arizona, and Downers Grove, Illinois. Trustees support the institution’s mission of educating tomorrow’s healthcare team through academic excellence, clinical service, research, and community engagement.
